yes yes, I do know the lyrics are actually "put some NEW shoes on" but think about it, you have to break in those new shoes, and I assure everything will NOT be so right, at least not for a few days. Slipping in to the right pair of old shoes is what feels so wonderful. Its like a lovely little home for your feet.

So the inspiration from this one comes from a beautiful evening spent with beautiful people on the porch of my friends house. Our off pitched singing may or may not have encouraged our neighbors to call the police and file a noise complaint. The poor officers were ever so confused to find that the ruckus they had been called out for was coming from four fairly petite young women. We all had a chuckle and they bid us a good night. And a goodnight we had.

There are very few things in life that swinging cant fix. Now I know thats been said about baths but, now I mean no disrespect to baths ( I love baths) but swinging fixes WAY more than baths. Stressed? fidgity? anxious? go swing. Im telling you. Its the most peaceful, rejuvenating thing ever.

Its the most challenging thing in life to step outside of your comfort zone. I mean its called your comfort zone for a reason, right!? But its true what they say, that it can be rewarding to challenge the realm of the unknown. The most challenging for me is meeting new people. That is way outside of my comfort zone- but it's part of the excitement, it's new and thrilling and terrifying but once you step out you meet fabulous new people. You get into discussions and you learn things from these new friends that you honestly couldn't have happened upon any other way. This one goes out to Ginna Rich, thanks for encouraging me to get to know new people!

Peter's Garden

A day spent in the sun. We can take a hint from our flowers and follow the rays with our faces to soak up that happy warm light. We could also take a hint from our flowers and burry our feet in the dirt...although I'm not sure what good that would bring us. I think I will stick to the sunshine.
